This is what a rainy day in August will do to you

on

My children are literally bouncing off the walls.

They are running up and down the hallway, gleefully shouting a mystery word ("Nyah! Nyah!"), darting into one another's bedrooms, bumping into the walls, and then falling down into giggling heaps. Then they get back up and do it again.

Today they have already:

colored pictures
had swimming lessons
read stories
gone outside to play even though it was raining
watched Sesame Street
played on PBSKids.org

and

done an exercise DVD with mommy

in an attempt to use up their boundless energy. But it never ends. Some days I think I need to create a padded room in the house, something similar to a bouncy castle, where I can just turn them loose and let them jump around until they're good and tired.

Anybody have a bouncy castle they want to donate to the cause?
